Jesus said to His Disciples, 'Follow Me and I will make you....'  It sounds simple enough, He leads and we follow.  If I wanted to go to your house but I didn't know the way it could take me a long time to fine your house.  If you drove over to my house and said, 'follow me and I will lead you back.'  My need to know the way is no longer my concern but I only need to follow you.  Trouble comes when I start to think that you no longer know the right way to your house.  I start to question the route you pick even when I don't know the way myself.  I start to slow down and you start to slow down because you know I only need to follow you.  Soon we are both stopped and you ask, 'is there a problem? '  Such is our walk with the Lord.  We slow down when He leads us on roads that we don't like to travel.  I encourage you today to look up for the road ahead looks bright and where He leads me I will follow.  Keep the faith for we know that Jesus only lead us in paths of righteousness for His name sake and we will arrive at His house and be glad
Sunday morning I will be sharing, "The Lesson In The Storm."  Why does the Lord lead us or bring us into stormy places?  What it is that we learn in a storm that we don't learn in the calm?  Bring a friend with you this Sunday as we enjoy the presence of the Lord together.
Many of you are aware that Brian Snow has passed from the earth realm to glory.  The visitation is this evening from 6 to 9 at Chant's Funeral Home in Sydney and the funeral is Saturday, tomorrow afternoon at 2pm.
Also Corinne Samson has passed on to glory but there will be no visitation .  Her funeral is on Monday 2pm from Chant's Funeral Home in Sydney.
In talking with both families they know where their loved one has gone.  They grieve over the loss yet they rejoice in the great assurance of Heaven.

The construction of every relationship needs to be made strong enough to carry the conversation that goes on within that relationship.  Light talk is for light friends and heavy talk is for best friends.  Some people say things that are to weighty for the relationship to support. If you are going to say strong words then you must make sure that your relationship is strong enough to stand it or your words will destroy your house.  The best way to prepare to be stronger tomorrow is to act right today.  Living in today can be a hard thing to do.  It seems the things in yesterday hinder us from fully embracing today and the things in our future can cause us to worry about what might happen tomorrow.  The fruit of the Spirit is like all fruit, it’s meant to be eaten fresh.  You should share and enjoy lots of love, joy, and peace today in order to build strong relationships for your future.  This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.  Psalm 118:24
This Sunday I'll be sharing on, 'It All Takes Time.'  There is a time for everything under the sun and if you put in enough time, you'll get to experience many things.

Have you ever heard about the good old days?  These are the days in our yesterdays that we feel were so much better than the days that we are now in.  We use the best of the past as a measuring stick to judge the conditions of today.  If we can remember 20 good things that happened years ago then it can seem like nothing great is happening today.  The Lord told me for every believer He has placed good things in each and every day and it was our mission each day to discover the things the Lord has for us.  Our mission is then to forget the things which are behind and take no thought about tomorrow.  This is the day that the Lord has made and He has placed hidden blessings, hidden riches, and hidden miracles in today.  I can complain that things aren't as good as they use to be or I can praise God that something good is about to happen.  Take a moment and thank the Lord for today and ask the Holy Spirit to help you, guide you, and lead you to the hidden things in today that will bless you.  Lift up your head, God is on your side.
This is Family Sunday and that means we start at 10:15 with food and fellowship followed by the morning service.  We are expecting lots of guest so make sure you bring some food, some friends, and together we will make others feel welcome.  I will be sharing on, "Finding Faith to Believe."  We all want to believe but at times our bad circumstances can seem to be greater than our good faith.
On Family Sunday we also have Name Tags.  These tags help us to get to know each other.  They have been a great help to me personally to get to know people and Pastor Bruce has worked hard to have them available for you.

Blessings to you today.  In the past has the Lord ever touched you and helped you and yet you still hear yourself praying, "LORD! here I am and I need You to touch me again."  The Holy Spirit spoke to me the other night at Bible Study as Logan was leading the worship, "Kevin (He knows my name) if you were only broken in one area I would only need to touch you once."  I thought about 1 Peter 5:7 "casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you."  Each and every care needs to be cast or removed from your heart and placed at His feet.  We all want to have the fullness of His freedom that's been placed in our salvation, "Yet you do not have because you do not ask." James 4:2  I pray for you today that you seek His hand to touch you, guide you, and lead you into victory.  My confidence in you is high, have a super day.
This Sunday I will be sharing, 'His Kingdom Is Here.'  I do believe that we are a God Kingdom minded church and as such we have Kingdom things happening when we come together.  What things from His Kingdom will He deposit into your world this week?
Last week we asked if anyone had any good used or new children's clothing that they would like to donate could they bring it in this Sunday.  It's to give to school children from levels primary to grade 5.  Thanks so much for your help.
Coming up next week Feb 5th is Family Sunday.  This is always a great time to invite a friend and bring some food as we enjoy the presence of the Lord.

To be always expecting God to work in you and through you is a wonderful gift.  Philippians 1:19-20 "For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death."  Paul the Apostle had the outlook that he could go into every day looking for God to be revealed in him to help him and or through him to deliver others.  We need to fan the flames of hope that we can live each day on purpose to discover and reveal the purposes of our Savior and Lord to the world around us.  We should never forget that God has divine purposes for everyday and this day is not just another day but this is the day that the Lord has made and once I understand that truth, I will rejoice and be glad in it.  Matthew 5:16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."  I expect that the God in my heart will be revealed by the work of my hands.  Put on a smile, my confidence in you today is great.
This Sunday morning I will be sharing, 'Core Values.'  What we highly value we highly invest in.  It's in living life that our values are tested.  How much do we value the promises and presence of God?

The number one resolution for the New Year was... getting in shape.  Not surprising when we know that man looks on the outward appearance.  There is nothing wrong with exercise unless you end up worshipping the creature that God made rather than the God who made the creature.  1 Timothy 4:8 "For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come."  It is good to exercise, eat healthy, and try to lose a few pounds but don't forget about your spiritual shape.  Hebrews 12:1-2 "Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."  Praying, forgiving, loving, being Godly, acting right, and encouraging others gives us the opportunity to tell people about Jesus.  These are things that give us spiritual exercise and put us in Kingdom shape.  Matthew 5:6 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."  Let's all try to keep in great spiritual shape for God in 2017.
This Sunday morning I will be sharing, 'Knowing You.'  Do you know who you are?  God made you special and our enemy tries to rob, kill, and destroy who we are, Jesus came that we might have life and have that life more abundantly.
