Have you ever
heard about the good old days? These are the days in our yesterdays
that we feel were so much better than the days that we are now in. We
use the best of the past as a measuring stick to judge the conditions of
today. If we can remember 20 good things that happened years ago then
it can seem like nothing great is happening today. The Lord told me
for every believer He has placed good things in each and every day and
it was our mission each day to discover the things the Lord has for us.
Our mission is then to forget the things which are behind and take no
thought about tomorrow. This is the day that the Lord has made and He
has placed hidden blessings, hidden riches, and hidden miracles in
today. I can complain that things aren't as good as they use to be or I
can praise God that something good is about to happen. Take a moment
and thank the Lord for today and ask the Holy Spirit to help you, guide
you, and lead you to the hidden things in today that will bless you.
Lift up your head, God is on your side.
This is Family Sunday
and that means we start at 10:15 with food and fellowship followed by
the morning service. We are expecting lots of guest so make sure you
bring some food, some friends, and together we will make others feel
welcome. I will be sharing on, "Finding Faith to Believe." We all want to believe but at times our bad circumstances can seem to be greater than our good faith.
On Family Sunday we also have Name Tags.
These tags help us to get to know each other. They have been a great
help to me personally to get to know people and Pastor Bruce has worked
hard to have them available for you.
Continue to pray for all those in need. Lots of love, looking forward to seeing you (our family) soon, Pastor Kevin and Alice
