Praise the Lord, even for the cold days.  Paula Bloise pointed out this verse in the Bible.  Job 38:22 "Have you entered the treasury of snow, or have you seen the treasury of hail?"  Cold weather is often something that we declare to be a negative thing and not a treasury.  In fact the colder is gets the more negative comments we hear about it.  Also at this time of year as you look to the sky you'll see thousands of Canadians fly south (not geese) to escape the bitter cold.  It's a great idea and people really enjoy the warmer weather.  The flip side that we learn about our human nature is, we will try if we can to escape anything negative.  Be it the weather, negative people, bad health, hell, and awful jobs we will go anyplace that's better than where we are.  King David had problems all around him when he wrote Psalm 27:5 "For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock."  It's in times of spiritual trouble that David found a place to escape to.  A secret and safe place of the soul where he could cast all his cares upon the Lord.  Today if there are negative things robbing your peace, escape in prayer into the presence of the Lord and allow Him to carry you.  Jesus loves you and gives you the warmth of His Grace to melt the coldness of life.
This Sunday morning I'll be sharing on, 'His Kingdom Revealed.'  What does His Heavenly Kingdom look like on earth?  Jesus reveals ways to see if His Kingdom is in you.  Sunday evening Pastor Mark will be sharing the Word of the Lord.  Come out and bring your praise and worship into the house of the Lord.
Continue to pray for those in need.  Hazen Usher is in the Sydney hospital and Carl MacDonald is in the Glace Bay hospital, both are in need of a healing.  Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday, lots of love Pastor Kevin and Alice.

Praise the Lord for He is good.  Isaiah 62:10 "Go through, Go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people; Build up, Build up the highway! Take out the stones, Lift up a banner for the peoples!"  This verse tells us to prepare a smooth way over rocky ground for others to follow.  We spend years in school preparing to spend a lifetime working.  The idea is the better we are prepared for life the less time we'll need to spend repairing our life.  Most of us have driven by the new exit ramp that is being constructed on the 125.  We see that they are removing rocks, putting in gravel, making it smooth, and getting it ready for pavement.  Sounds like the verse in Isaiah.  The hope is, the better that they prepare now, the less they will need to repair later.  2 Timothy 2:15 "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who (is prepared) does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."  Prepare yourself using God's Word and you will prepare a better way for others to follow.  Have a super day.
This past Wednesday we started a 7 week study with Robert Morris on the Lord's prayer.  If you have the time to join us it would be worth your while to attend.
This Sunday morning I'll be sharing on, 'His Kingdom Revealed.'  What does His Kingdom look like?  How do we know it when we see it?  Sunday evening, 'Keeping Your Confidence.'  What is the reward for us when we are willing to hold onto our confidence in God when life is trying to steal it away?
Continue to pray for those in need.  Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday, lots of love Pastor Kevin and Alice

Psalm 103:1-5 "Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s."
Bless the Lord Oh my soul and all that is within me bless His holy name.  Only with what's in you or within your area of influence can you often to God.  Sometimes we can wish we had more of what someone else has but you can't give something to God that belongs to another.  It's up to you to offer all of you so your strength can be renewed like the eagle's.  When you hold back giving to God, you are really holding back on yourself.  Whatever you don't cast on the Lord you carry but whatever you give to the Lord He blesses it and through it your whole world can be blessed.  May the promises within this Psalm be your portion this year.
This Sunday morning I'll be sharing on, 'I Need A Miracle.'  What do you do when God's answer to your need is yes but there is a delay in it coming to pass?  Sunday evening, 'Speak What You Believe.'  When you see a problem should you confess the mess or speak the answer?  God Himself has given us the answer.
Continue to pray for those in need.  Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday, Lots of love Pastor Kevin and Alice

I pray you have a Happy, Healthy, and Blessed New Year.  Every desire that we have in life in not always reached by taking the easiest path to get there.  Joshua had to face a Jericho, David had to face a giant, and Jesus had to face a cross.  In each case great battles were required to win great rewards.  In each case God made a super natural way to bring forth a super natural victory.  Key for the New year; fight no battles that hold no spoils.  The prize goes to the victor but if there is no prize you use your strength fighting for nothing.  When the real battle comes and the prize is great you have no strength to fight with.  Ask yourself today, 'Am I fighting any battles that hold no spoils?  What do I win if I win?'  I also believe that there are some battles that the victory is in escaping the problem and not beating the problem.  It's possible to stay in a fight when the Lord has given you a way of escape but you fight on not wanting to lose.  Pick your battles wisely and inquire of the Lord for victory.  Motto: "We are a great team... in 2014!"
This is the first Sunday of 2014 and it's Family Sunday.  What a wonderful way to begin the New Year.  We start @10:15 with food and fellowship followed by the morning service.  My message is, 'The Fruit Of My Lips.'  Your words reveal the seeds that have grown in your heart for it's out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks.  What will your words reveal about you in 2014?  So come out and bring a three or four friend.  On Family Sunday there is no evening service.
Continue to pray for those in need, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice

Praise the Lord , are we at the end of 2013 or the beginning or 2014?  I know we are at both, it's like the glass that's half full or half empty.  If we are going to see things in the right light, it has to do with having a candle of contentment from the past and a match of hope for the future.  If you look back with regret then you'll look forward with worry.  I have faced nothing in my past that has overwhelmed the God that I serve and there shall be nothing in my future that is bigger than God.  It is here where we live in the Promise Land or promises that have come true, are coming true and will come true that we trust in the living God.  Yes your best days are yet to come.
This Sunday morning I'll be sharing on, 'First & Last.'  Often it's when we have lived a little that we gain the wisdom to reach the end with success.  In the evening we will have an evening of worship, testimonies, and fellowship.
Continue to pray for those in need, may you have a blessed, healthy, and Happy New Year, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice

Praise the Lord Jesus as He is the real Reason for the Season.  It's nearing Christmas and for many of the new believers in the church, this will be their first Christmas knowing the Christ of Christmas.  I recall my first Christmas after I got saved, it was so different.  Before this I had grown tired of those that were looking for a Santa that wasn't real, those that used Christmas as an excuse to party, those that wanted to impress others with expensive gifts, and those that bought gifts trying to make up for being bad all year.  When I met the Christ of Christmas everything changed.  I sat in awe on Christmas day with tears of joy running down my cheeks.  Yes, my earthen vessel had found peace on earth and I understood the wonderful mystery of having a Saviour live on the inside.  Christmas no longer meant all the shallow things that it used to mean but now I was overwhelmed with the deep love of God that had touched my heart.  Merry Christmas..... Really Merry Christmas.
This Sunday morning I'll be sharing on, 'Following A Star.'  There is so much hidden truth as the Wise Men made their way following a star.  It's said that they followed the star for 2 years looking for a new King.  What were they thinking along the way and what kept them going?  Sunday evening we'll have an evening of special music, testimonies, refreshments, and prayer.  Bring a friend with you as we celebrate Jesus.
May you all be blessed over the holy days and may the new year bring you greater levels of anointing and vision.
Continue to pray for those in need, looking forward to seeing you. lots of love Pastor Kevin and Alice
