There is a promise in the Bible that tells us, "While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease." Genesis 8:22  The Bible tells us in Galatians 6:7 "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap."   It's simple, what we plant we harvest.  That's why we should start everyday by dropping good thoughts into the soil of our soul.  Listen to or read something that has seeds in it that will encourage you.  As it grows throughout the day your harvest you be a greater level of love, joy, and peace.  May today be a wonderful day for you and your family.
Don't forget....Tomorrow is the practice for the Christmas Concert.
Sunday morning is our Special Christmas presentation.  This is always a wonderful time as our Sunday School takes center stage to tell us the story of Christmas.  Sunday evening will be filled with songs and fellowship.  I will share on, 'Why A Baby?'
Family Sunday is coming the first Sunday in the New Year and we are making some changes.  We have grown so much in the past 3 years that we need to adjust how things are managed.  If you would like to help out in this ministry please contact Pastor Bruce.  If you have been helping in this area already and would like to continue to help please contact Pastor Bruce.
Also in the New Year for Jan., Feb., and March there will be no Sunday evening services unless it is for a special event.
Next Friday is Christmas day so if I don't see you before then, may you and your family have a wonderful blessed Christmas.  Please continue to pray for those in need, looking forward to seeing you soon, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice

Sharing and caring for others should be a part of our everyday life.  Galatians 6:1-2 "Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself. Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important."  I read that a close friend is someone who sees your first tear, catches your second tear, and comforts you so much that they prevent your third tear from falling.  Caring and sharing need to go hand in hand.  Most people will say that they care about a certain problem but not everyone will share what they have to help solve that problem.  We need to work of sharing and caring for others because it's a way that we can reveal the love of Christ.  Your assignment from Heaven is to care so much that you share your love with someone today.
This Sunday morning I'll be speaking on, 'Staying Strong.'  We can start strong but how do we stay strong?  Sunday evening Pastor Mark will be sharing the Word of the Lord with us.  Come out and bring a friend.
Our services are streamed live on Sunday morning from our web site and you can find past services on You Tube and Podcast.
Continue to pray for all those in need.  Looking forward to seeing you soon, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice

There are a lot of people out Christmas shopping trying to find that perfect gift.  They want something really great and hope it will last longer than Christmas day.  I have a couple of Christmas gift ideas for you.  To those that have hurt you, give them forgiveness. To those that get on your nerves, be patient.  To those you say you love, give them your heart.  To all those around you, give them respect.  To every child who's watching you, give them a good example.  These are gifts that not only have the power to change others but they will return and bless you.
It's Christmas Banquet time.  Tick tock watch the clock... It's Saturday evening @6pm for an evening of blessing for ever one.  We are expecting a wonderful time again this year as we celebrate how the Lord has been touching our lives.
Sunday morning I'll be sharing on, 'Well Rounded Attitude.'  For the mature person who wants to find success their attitude is everything.  Not just in one area of their life, but in every area of their life.
There is no breakfast Family Sunday service this month due to us having our Banquet on Saturday evening.  Our church service will start at the regular time 10:30.   There will be no Sunday evening service this week.
Continue to pray for those in need, looking forward to seeing you soon, lots of love Pastor Kevin and Alice.

In the world today we read the newspaper and believe what it says while we read the Bible and question it's truth.  As we move away from His truth we remove the moral compass from the soul of our society and things become worse.  As believers we must uphold His truth as our guide though life.  "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."  Colossians 3:16  It's the first few words in this verse that makes the rest of this verse possible for us to fulfill.  We are to let His word or allow His Word to dwell on the inside of us.  If we allow His word to rule then His word will help us to decide what to do.  We are to make room in us to allow His word to live in us richly or to the full measure.  Then as we approach others, we will walk in the Spirit of His Holy Word and speak in a flow like music coming from our heart.  Our words will then help others to live according to the grace and goodness of God.
Just to let you know that over 4000 Christmas Shoe Boxes have been shipped out this week from Cape Breton.  Martin McCarthy and his team of workers did a great job to reach this number of shoe boxes.  We believe that children around the world will be forever changed by this gift.  Praise the Lord!
Ozzie Marsman's wife Marie passed away this week.  The visitation is tonight 6-9 and the funeral is tomorrow at 1 pm from the Pier Community Funeral Home (the former Pier Salvation Army Church)
This Sunday morning I'll be sharing on, 'Parting Ways.'  Moses was someone who was always parting ways?  What can we learn from his good and bad decisions.  In the evening, 'Opposites Or the Same.'  The Lord uses different props that are opposites to describe the same event.
Coming up next Saturday or a week from tomorrow @ 6pm is our annual Church Family Christmas Banquet. Tickets are $15 per person or $50 for a family of 4 or more.  We want everyone to be there so the price is free for anyone or any family who can't afford to pay.  Please check with Bob and Lin Ryan for tickets as seating is limited.  Thanks so much.
Continue to pray for all those in need, there are several of our members who need a divine healing touch from Jesus.  Looking forward to seeing you soon, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice

Hi everyone, hope you are having a blessed day.  Last weekend Alice and I attended a leadership conference in Botwood Newfoundland.  I had asked Pastor Gordon Warr from Lewisporte to share about some things that he saw in good leaders.  Pastor Gordon started by saying that he was 83 years old.  He said that leaders have to be ready to lead or they need to be prepared with the right information.  Then he said more important than just being ready was to have a willingness to lead.  Are you willing to do whatever is needed to get the job done?  He has seen many people who are ready as far as information goes but they are unwilling to do anything.  They may know more than the Pastor but are unwilling to help out.  On the other hand God in willing to use any willing heart and He equips them as they get started.  We have put so much importance on getting ready when the greater gift in any true leader has been a willingness to start.  You may not be as ready as someone else but if you are willing you shall have good success.  May each of us be willing to do something for our Savior and Lord Jesus to see His Kingdom come and His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
This Sunday morning I'll be sharing on, 'Music and Dancing In Father's House.' Your approach to the runway of life has a lot to do with how you land.  Church is a place to celebrate the presence of the Lord as people are saved.  Sunday evening, 'Crazy People.'  Are there any crazy people in your life?  You know... people that are different than you.
Continue to pray for all those in need.  Carl MacDonald in still in the Hospital in CCU.

Hi everyone, Jesus said, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19)  It doesn't matter to Jesus where you are in life when you start to follow Him as long as you start.  We all have to start somewhere so I say,'start where you are.'  Don't wait until you have made yourself better.  Don't wait until you've stop doing some bad habit.  Don't wait until you understand everything but admit you need His help and start where you are.  Jesus made a promise in this verse to make you.  The hymn writer said, "Just as I am, without one plea, but that thy blood was shed for me, and that thou bidst me come to thee, O Lamb of God, I come, I come."  Coming to Jesus is the best thing that I've ever done and He is still making me.  It looks like I needed to make a lifelong commitment because it's going to take a lifetime for Him to make me all the things that He wants me to be.
This Sunday morning I'll be sharing on, 'He's Revealing More.'   When I first received Jesus I knew Him as my Savior but along the way He has revealed more and more about who He is.  I'm not more saved today than I was the day I received Him but I have received more information, revelation, and transformation.  Sunday evening, 'What's In The Seed?'  Everything God does He starts with a seed.  He starts with small things and moves them in small ways and if we are faithful with the little that we have to begin with, we will receive much more along the way.
Don't forget to bring in your Christmas Shoe Boxes.  Martin McCarthy has done a great job in getting the Shoe Boxes out, we need to do our part and bring the Shoe Boxes in.
Tickets will soon be on sale for the Christmas Banquet, we have limited seating so receive your tickets as soon as possible.
Alice and I will be away next week.  As the Atlantic Canada Director for the Canadian Fellowship of Christian Ministries I host an area rally once a year.  This year we are in Botwood Newfoundland at the Agape Christian Fellowship Church.  Pray for all the leaders that come that they will receive a fresh touch from the Holy Spirit.
Continue to pray for those in need, lots of love, looking forward to seeing you soon, Pastor Kevin and Alice

It's only Thursday and it's a day early for my weekly email.  As we look back over our life we can see the divine timing of the Lord and how He worked things out for our good.  Even in the knowing that His timing has been right on we still don't like to wait.  Lord we pray, 'do it now.'  One man said he needed to sell a house in order to move.  Another person said that they needed to buy a truck.  Someone else maybe waiting for that special someone to come along.  Isaiah 40:31 "But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." It's often easier to quote a verse than it is to live it and it's always easier to quote this verse to others when you yourself are not waiting for anything.  Have you ever got fed up with waiting and tried to do something to make things better?  Well join the club, what club?  The one in your mind where you say to yourself, 'I won't do that again.'  Too much wanting and waiting will cause us to doubt.  'Oh,' we say, 'God must be late!'  It's by having faith and trust that keeps hope alive and they whisper to us, 'God will arrive right on time.'  Keep the faith, God won't be late, and your best days are yet to come.
This is time-change weekend so don't forget to get an extra hours sleep when you put your clock back 1 hour on Saturday evening.
This is Family Sunday so get ready, get ready, get ready.  The Lord has been using this event to bless all of us.  Our part in family Sunday is to bring some food and invite some friends, His job is to speak to the hearts of everyone and draw us closer to Jesus.  Every month the Holy Spirit has been faithful to arrive right on time and give us signs and wonders.  I will be sharing on, 'The Holy Spirit.'  The Holy Spirit has a job to do in each of us to form us, make us, and mold us into who He wants us to be.  There is no evening service on Family Sunday.
Continue to pray for all those in need.  Looking forward to seeing you all, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice

It's the big things in life that seem impossible to reach so why not build a bridge using the little things that we all can do.  Little acts of kindness may not seem like much at the time but together they bridge the gap and bring us into greater success.  Proverbs 30:24 "There are four things which are little on the earth, but they are exceedingly wise." What four things could it be? Is it you or is it me let's check the scripture to see.... Ants, badgers, locust, and spiders.  Why does the Lord find them to be so wise?  They all do the little things right and thus the Lord declares them to be very wise.  It's both those little mistakes that spoil us and the little right things that bring us success.  Focus on the right things and don't allow your last little mistake to stop you from doing the next little thing right.   Put your heart, mind, and soul into even your smallest act of kindness. This is the secret to finding Godly success.Tonight is the, "Fellowship Youth Event."  All our Junior and Senior High students plus all their friends are invited to 171 Curry St. Howie Center.  Starting @6 going till 9 there will be lots of food, fun, fellowship, and fireworks.
This Sunday morning I'll be sharing, "Buying In...Into You."  When Jesus comes into our life He brings many wonderful gifts.  We need to buy into the fact that its Christ in us that is our hope and start to see our life from His point of view.  Sunday evening Pastor Mark will be sharing the Word of the Lord and it's always an exciting time to believe God for a miracle.
Next Sunday is Family Sunday and we need everyone to be involved with our vision to reach our world.  By inviting a friend to come with you, you bring them to a door of opportunity.  It's the opportunity of a lifetime for them to receive the abundant life that's found in Christ.  I will always be eternally grateful for those that invited me.  Don't forget to fill your Christmas Child Shoebox.
Continue to pray for all those in need.  Looking forward to seeing you soon, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice

Ephesians 1:13-14 "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.  Stand firm...."  For the believer today it's hard to take a stand when we live in a world of shifting and sinking sands.  Standing for what's right is a moving target and the world aims to trick you to trap you with what you believe.  I see in scripture that Jesus didn't answer every question, sometimes He walked away.  Standing firm in what we believe doesn't always mean that we have to talk while standing.  I believe if we stand firm for God He will defend us, His Holy Spirit will lead us, and Jesus will give us the right words to say when it's the right time to talk.  So stand tall today and look like a Christian.  May others see your good words and glorify the Father which art in Heaven.
This Sunday morning I'll be sharing on, 'Weak Made Strong With Partners.'  Have you ever come to a breaking point?  Do you know others that are at their breaking point?  Invite them to church to hear it's at breaking times that we need to turn to the right places if we want to win the victory.  Sunday evening will be a great time in the presence of the Lord as we come together to worship the Lord.
Continue to pray for all those in need, lots of love, looking forward to seeing you soon, Pastor Kevin and Alice

Friday, October 9th, 2015

It's thanksgiving weekend.  Psalm 100:4 "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise.  Be thankful to Him, and bless His name."  The Lord would never give us a direction to do something that was beyond our ability to do.  We are asked to enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise, be thankful as we bless His name.  Psalm 34:3 "Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together."  As we gather in church, our praise and worship is a collective opportunity to bless the Lord together.  Psalm 69:30 "I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving."  God is expecting all of us to willingly obey His word by giving Him thanks for who He is.  Isaiah 1:19 "If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land."  Everyone can give thanks if they want to.  Everyone can offer the Lord praise if they want to.  According to your faith be it unto you.  I pray that you are able to freely express your thankfulness to God with everyone you meet.
On Sunday morning I'll be sharing with you, 'When One Returns.'  What happens when one person does the right thing?  I believe that that one person is blessed and is raised to a higher level of freedom.  What happens if one person decided to fly around the world and another person decides to walk?  One has made by their choice the trip easy and quick, the other by choice has made their trip hard and long if not impossible.  You can by choice do the right thing and make life more enjoyable.
On Thanksgiving there is no evening service.  While I was away in the US last week I did see a turkey holding up a sign,'eat more beef!'  Alice and I had a great time ministering at the conference and many people told us that their lives have been forever changed.  We would like to thank all those that prayed and supported us in making this ministry trip such a blessing.
Continue to pray for all those in need.  Looking forward to seeing you soon, lots of love Pastor Kevin and Alice

Jesus said that the greatest in His Kingdom was the one that we would call the servant.  It's said that we make a living by what we gain but we make a life by what we give.  Servants have to be givers and they give of their time, talent, and treasure.  2 Corinthians 9:7 "Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."  You would think in the natural that giving would mean that you would have less but that's not true.  In serving others a servant becomes a part of any great thing that is accomplished in the Kingdom of God.  Rejoice in your serving for the Lord keeps good books and He is a debtor to no one.  Whatever you do in word or in deed for others, be a cheerful given.
Alice and I will be in Fort Kent Maine this weekend doing special services for Apostle Matt and Amy Carpenter.  I thought I would send out an early email to remind everyone that this is Family Sunday and we need lots of food for the breakfast as we have some expected guests coming.  Also on Family Sunday we have no evening service but there is a service at Munro Academy @6:30 to support the Love Israel fund raiser.
Continue to pray for all those in need, lots of love, looking forward to seeing you soon, Pastor Kevin and Alice

Friday, Sept. 25th, 2015

Prayer that begins with trusting God and walking by faith, bypasses the waiting room of doubt and unbelief.  Prayer that starts with praise causes us to end up in the land of thankfulness.  When trouble drives us to pray it has made a great mistake, for it's in prayer that the Lord drives trouble away from us.  Prayer is a spiritual resource that the Lord has given us and we can use it anytime anywhere to personally speak with Him.  Jesus said in John 16:24 "Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full."  We can also agree with others.  Matthew 18:19 "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven."  Let's remember today to pray for our joy to be full and for others to be blessed.
This Sunday morning I'll be sharing on 'Strengthen One Another.'   How do we look out for those we love?  Do we only love them to their face or do we have their back?  Sunday evening, 'How Can Two Walk Together?'  Joshua was able to walk under the leadership of Moses and he was also able to instruct others how to walk together to enter the Promise Land.  If you can walk right along someone else, the Lord will raise you up to greater and greater places.
Continue to pray for all those in need.  Looking forward to seeing you soon, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice

Friday, Sept. 18th, 2015

The old song; 'Count your blessings, name them one by one, count your blessings see what God has done.'  We can in times of trouble forget to count our blessings as we are busy adding up our sorrow.  Take a moment right now and thank the Lord for who He is.  2 Corinthians 9:8 "And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work."  Psalm 34:1 "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth."  Enjoy the rest of your day as you rest in the promises of God.
This Sunday morning I'll be sharing with you on, 'The War Of Words.'  You can think what you like but you should say what you mean.  Sunday evening @6 we are having a Water Baptism service Faith Baptist Church in Sydney has offered us their church for the evening.  We will begin at 6 with food and fellowship followed by the service.  Come and see as many new members in the family of God follow the Lord Jesus into the water and are baptised.

Greetings Saturday Sept 5th

05/09/2015

To: 'Pastor Kevin Mattatall'
Hi everyone, I know it's not Friday, Alice and I just arrived home this morning around 8am from Newfoundland.  I am looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow on "Family Sunday," bring lots of food, lots of friends, and lets all enjoy the presence of the Lord together.
It's strange how we can seek to learn more out about God and find more out about ourselves.  1 Corinthians 13:12 "For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known."  The character of God is like looking into a mirror as He reflects back to us the hidden thoughts of our own heart.  To truly know the deep things of God would be to truly know the deep things about yourself.  Maybe that's why some people stop seeking God?  They don't like what they see inward so they stop looking heavenward.  God only reveals what He knows that we can handle and wisdom tells us to keep seeking even when we don't understanding.  Often my understanding about a past truth is better revealed to me as I seek to understand the next truth.  Walking by faith means I don't need to understand everything but to be faithful in what I do understand.  Keep on keeping go for our best days are yet to come.
Continue to pray for those in need.  Especially pray for Lin Ryan to receive a miracle today.
Lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice

Acts 1:8 "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."  Praise the Lord for the wonder working power that works in us.  When we think about power we could talk about a person who has the power to lift a heavy object.  We could talk about a king and say that they have power to move others.  We could look at nature and say it was a powerful storm and it moved the trees.  But watch this... when we talk about God's power placed in us, it's not that we have the power to move things around us but nothing around us has the power to move us.  Thus we are strong inward and we are faithful outward because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  Our inner power comes from the Greater One who lives in us so put on a big smile and give the devil a heart attack.  Go forth today into your world and be a witness for the Lord Jesus Christ.
This Sunday we are having only the morning service.  Get ready, get ready, get ready for the Lord is doing great things.  I will be sharing on, "Under The Surface."  Have you ever met someone and on the surface things seemed fine?  What happens when you dare to go .... under the surface?  Our living God likes to go deeper and He works deeper in us so when we are transparent to others they can see Christ in us the hope of glory.  Invite a friend to sit with you and see what the Lord will do.
Next week Alice and I are away to Newfoundland for a few days and Pastor Bruce will be looking after things here.  Continue to pray for all those in need.  Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice

Psalm 92:12-13 "The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.  Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God."  We see that healthy growth on earth is directly connected to being divinely connected to the Heavenly realm.  Your soul flourishes like a palm tree just as your spirit flourishes in the courts of our God.  We want earthly success but it comes from the seeds that we plant in the Heavenly realm.  In Matthew 6 Jesus looked at this same truth to teach His disciples how to pray.  "Therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven."  The blessing on earth comes from our relationship with our Father in Heaven.  Stay connected to God above and be blessed in the earth below.
This Sunday morning I'll be sharing on, 'Moving Forward.'  There is an internal process in having external progress.  Sunday evening weather permitting we will be enjoying an outdoor service on the church property.  Food and fellowship as we lift up the name of the Lord Jesus.  A good service to bring a friend.
Continue to pray for all those in need.  Pray for the family of Dwight Conrad in their time of grief. Friends and family are welcomed to share stories and libations at the Old Triangle Pub in Sydney on Saturday, Aug. 15 from 5-7 p.
Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice

Friday, August 7th, 2015

Praise the Lord Jesus for giving us His Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us into all truth.  When we start to apply divine truth to human life we begin to see that truth has many layers or levels.  Things that are true fit together with other things that are true.  Ephesians 3: 17-18 "that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height." What you are rooted and grounded in brings forth or reveals what you can comprehend.  The height of the building is determines by the depth of the foundation.  The next truth doesn't have to look like the last truth but it does have to fit together with the last truth.  May we go deeper, fly higher, and run longer as we advance in His glorious Kingdom.
Tomorrow, Saturday morning @9 the Munro Academy is having a work day at the school.
This Sunday morning I'll be sharing on, "Public & Private."  There are some things that God does in public and other stuff He does in private.  For us who were created in His image there is some things that we do in public and there is other stuff that we keep private.  Wisdom is to know when to do what with the information that we have.
There is no evening service this Sunday.
We have also started 'POD CASTING' our sermons.  Go to pod cast and put in our church name and you will be able to listen to past sermons.
Continue to pray for those in need, looking forward to seeing you, lots of love Pastor Kevin and Alice

Friday, July 31st, 2015

Get ready, get ready, get ready it's "Family Sunday."  We start at 10:15 with some wonderful food and blessed fellowship followed by our morning service.  Our guest speaker this Sunday is Jim Weller.  Jim has a ministry making Bibles available to Russia and Eastern Europe.  He is a great speaker and always brings an encouraging word.  On Family Sunday there is no evening service.
I was thinking this week about our church family and what is it that creates a healthy family and thus a healthy church?  One of the big things that I believe our church expresses is our ability to honor each other for who they are.  That giving honor makes people feel welcome to join us no questions asked.  It's not a matter of what you've done but it's a matter of what you now can become.  I see that we are quick to forgive people because we haven't forgotten that we have been forgiven.  There is a real sense of love, joy and peace which has given us a river of life within the family.  We feel that together is better than being alone and we look to help each other wherever we can.  We have a common goal to love and worship God and love and respect each other.  I am glad to be a part of what God has done and is still doing among us.  I am proud of all of you for growing up to the place that the Lord is drawing more and more people into our Family.  As we continue to grow let me say to God be all the glory and our best days are yet to come
Continue to pray for all those in need, lots of love, looking forward to seeing you soon, Pastor Kevin and Alice

Praise the Lord for there is no one more worthy to be praised than Jesus.  Sometimes in life we can forget to thank someone who was good to us.  They helped us out or they gave us something that we needed and we would say, 'when we see them we will have to thank them.'  Life goes on and we forget.  Paul wrote, using only a few words, to set a high bar for us to reach.  1st Thessalonians 5:16-22 "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.  Do not quench the Spirit.  Do not despise prophecies.  Test all things; hold fast what is good.  Abstain from every form of evil."  Living a thankful life is to live a blessed life so remember today to thank God and all those around you that help to make your world wonderful.
This Sunday there is only the morning service.  We will have a baby to dedicate to the Lord and I will be sharing with you, 'Can You Change.'  When someone asks you about a change that you need to make, do you give them an answer or an excuse?  At times it's our excuses that hinder us from stepping out and changing what needs to be changed.
Last Wednesday some of the video ministry team spent the day in Moncton looking at what we need to upgrade our video ministry equipment.  I mentioned the need of 20 thousand dollars to make this happen so if you can help out it would be greatly appreciated.  Next Sunday is the first Sunday in Aug so it's Family Sunday.  Get ready, get ready, get ready.
Continue to pray for all those in need.  Looking forward to seeing you, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice

Hi everyone, last week's yard sale raised over 900.00 dollars for the Munro School.  I want to thank everyone for their support in this effort.  This money will go to helping children in our community receive a faith based education.  The results of your labor will be seen in time and eternity.
When we talk about our salvation it comes through an act of our will to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord and repent or turn away from our sin.  What happens when we make a mistake or worse fall away from our faith?  These verses that are found in 1 John were written to believers and they helped me to understand what we need to do when we make mistakes or fall away.  1 John 1:9-10 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.  If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us."  As believers when we sin we don't need to get resaved but we do need to confess to God the problem and be willing to repent or turn away from the problem.  It's an ongoing process that helps us continue on in the faith and this process never changes.  When you sin don't look down, don't make an excuse, don't poll the audience but lift up your eyes to Jesus.  Psalms 121:1-2 "I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from?  My help comes from theLord, the Maker of heaven and earth."  Keep your head up for His promises are sure and your best days are coming to your house.
This Sunday in the morning I be sharing on, 'His Kingdom Purpose.'  His Kingdom must come to you so His purposes can be revealed in you and then go forth from you to the world around you.  In the evening we'll be going outdoors to our church property and I'll be sharing on, 'Out of Your Wilderness.'  How do we escape the pitfalls and potholes, snares and traps of the enemy?  Invite a friend and enjoy the service together.
We are looking to upgrade our video ministry at a cost of 20 thousand dollars.  Thank you to those people who have already promised or have made a donation.   If you would like to sow a seed and contribute to this ministry that reaches the world it would be greatly appreciated.
Continue to pray for all those in need, looking forward to seeing you soon, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice

We all seek to keep peace within ourselves, with those around us, and with God above.  Jesus said in John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."  This peace that Jesus offers us comes from us trusting who we are and what we have to Him.  Until you know who you are you'll never be able to make peace with Jesus and you'll never be content with what you have.  Having His peace doesn't mean that you'll live in a place where there is no noise, evil, drama, trouble, or hard work but it means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.  I pray for you today that you may walk in His Divine peace.
We were planning a Yard Sale for tomorrow but many people have asked for more time to collect their stuff so we are going to move the yard sale ahead a couple of weeks.  We are still asking for you to bring your stuff to the church property on Friday evening between 6-8 where we can price it and store it.  Thanks so much for your help.
This Sunday morning I'll be sharing, 'How To Become.'  We all want to become all that God wants us to be but how do we ever reach that goal?  Sunday evening Pastor Mark will be sharing the Word of the Lord with us.  Bring a friend and enjoy the service.
Continue to pray for all those in need.  I'm looking forward to seeing you, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice

I want to congratulate all the men out there who are working diligently to be good Godly father.  The task is great and the challenges are many but the rewards are out of this world. 1 Corinthians 4:15 "For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers..."  Paul is saying that the calling to be a spiritual father or a spiritual dad sets the bar high and it requires a lot of work to make it.  The good news is real men don't mind hard work and they will work to express their faith in Jesus to their family.  Watch out, the real men are rising up in Christ and will be a blessing to the nation.
Coming up tomorrow morning @ 8:30 is a Men's Breakfast at Sydney Pentecostal Church in Sydney.  John Jenson will be sharing the word with the men.
Tomorrow evening @6 pm the Lumber River will be sharing the gospel in music at the Open Hearth Park in Sydney.  Be sure to come out, bring a friend and a chair and enjoy the evening Lumber River will also be singing for us on Sunday morning (Father's Day) at the church.  I will be sharing a word, 'The Father's Perception.'  Seeing things from above can turn a rainy day into a rainbow.  There is no evening service on Father's Day.
Continue to pray for all those in need.  Looking forward to seeing you all soon, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a blessed day.   Psalm 19:1-2 "The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge."  It's at the end of the day that we can look back at what we said during the day and gain knowledge.  Did we say the right things, would we change anything we said, was this day which the Lord has made for us to enjoy enjoyable?  If we learn to reflect, meditate, and contemplate the night unto day and the day unto night, many times over and over again we will become wise.  Joshua 1:8  "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."  May everything you put your hand to do today be blessed.
This Sunday morning I'll be sharing on, 'Crazy Faith.'  Often with miracles there is a story before the story that made the story possible.  What you do today can pave the way for your next miracle.  In the evening Pastor Bruce will be sharing the Word of the Lord with us.  Be sure to invite a friend to come to church with you.
Coming up next weekend (Father's Day weekend ) we will be having the Lumber River singers minister with us.  We are planning on Saturday June 20th 6pm an outdoor outreach event to the community at the New Earth Park in Sydney.  (Everybody bring 2 friends) Then on Sunday morning Lumber River will be with us for our morning service.  They share a great testimony as they lift up the name of the Lord Jesus in song.
Also coming up on Saturday June 26th our Church will hold a Church Yard Sale on our Church property to support Munro Academy, the Christian School.  Gather up all your stuff as we support the school together.  You can have your items picked up if you need us to do so or if it's a bag or two of stuff bring it to church and we will look after it.  We will also set us a table for baked goods and we will need some help at the Yard sale to make things go smoothly.  See Pastor Bruce
Continue to pray for those in need, hope to see you on Sunday, lots of love Pastor Kevin and Alice

There are times when we must ask ourselves, 'what is best for everyone else.'  We are a church and we are a family and like any family there are times when we put our families needs ahead of our own.  It's never right for anyone to ever abuse you but you may make sacrifices to lovingly help meet the needs of others.  Jesus was willing to lay down His life for the sheep.  The Apostle Paul did many things to see the gospel preached around the world.  As long as you're giving with the right heart then no gift is too small or too large. Matthew 10:42 "And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.” Whatever you do, do it all in the name of the Lord and you shall be blessed in all that you do.
This Sunday is the last Sunday of May.  In the morning I'll be sharing on, 'What Causes A Famine?'  What can we do to prevent a famine in your life?  In the evening Pastor Mark will be sharing the word of the Lord with us.  He always gives us a great look at the scriptures.
Next Saturday (weather permitting) June 6th there will be a Great Youth Event.  A walk up Coxheath Mountain followed by a time of sharing, worship, food, and fellowship.
The following Sunday June 7th is Family Sunday so get ready get ready get ready for a wonderful time in the presence of the Lord.
Continue to pray for all those in need, looking forward to seeing you, lots of love Pastor Kevin and Alice.

In the Bible we see many names for those who are in relationship with the Lord.  Sometimes we are referred to as babies in Christ, His children, sons and daughters, good soldiers, fathers of the faith, kings and priests.  We are not called by one name all the time but different names for different reasons and the different seasons.  If you are facing a devil then pick the name soldier, if teaching in the church pick father or priest, if praying to God pick son or daughter.  It's often not the size of the circumstances you face that defeat you but it's how you see yourself within the circumstances you face.  If you see yourself as a baby and the devil shows up you cry about how hard life is but if you see yourself as a soldier then you fight and win the victory.  It's not seeing a big bad devil but it's seeing a great big God and knowing that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.  James 4:7 "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you."  May you enjoy the fullness of the day while walking in the fullness of Christ.
This Sunday we have special guests Fred and Val Bennett.  They will be ministering in both services and giving prophetic insight in how to stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Continue to pray for all those in need, looking forward to seeing you on Sunday, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice.

It looks like our weather has taken a spring in the right direction.  Warmer days will make us all feel better.  I am reminded that we are to walk by faith whether the weather agrees with us or not.  Spring happened on the calendar weeks ago and the truth that spring came is not determined by the warmth of the day but by the fact of time.  The weatherman didn't wait for it to be a day of 10 degrees and then announce this is the first day of spring and in the same way when God makes promises He sets the promise in time and when the time arrives so does the promise.  We need to be ready to receive His promise while we live in the upper room of faith, no matter what the climate is around us.  When the time arrives we then can declare it even before we see it come to pass.  It was spring before it felt like spring so we walk not by feeling but by faith knowing that what He has promised, He is able to perform it, and He who said it shall bring it to pass.  Enjoy the day that the Lord has made, rejoice and be glad in it.
This is Mother's Day Sunday and what a great day to honor and celebrate our Moms.  I will be sharing with you, 'Old and New Mothers.'  Have you ever watched a new mother and an older mother and how they respond.  The new mom says be careful of the baby, no one hold the baby, did you wash your hands before you touched the baby and the older mother passes the baby around like a football.  Experience is a great teacher and if we fail to hear the wisdom from the older people in our lives then we will likely become frustrated with the present circumstances in our life.
On Mother's Day there is no evening service.  Continue to pray for all those in need, looking forward to seeing you soon, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice
