Proverbs 24:16 “For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, but the wicked shall fall by calamity.”  We often judge people by their success when what teaches us how to be humble and handle success is failure.  We like to think that we are humble but it’s in the view of the bottom and the hope to go higher that we repent, rise up, and overcome defeat.  We all know what it is to fall down but when you decide to stay down, that’s when a past mistake makes your life a calamity.  A past mistake is not strong enough to keep you trapped in that mistake when you humble yourself and ask God to forgive you.  When you fail to repent it reveals that you are full of pride and that makes you wicked in the eyes of the Lord.  The righteous person must keep repenting because life is full of potholes.  When I look out and see you in church each week I thank God, not because you all have had a perfect week but because you have chosen in the midst of life’s problems to rise again, and again, and again.  You are a testimony both in the words you speak and in the deeds you do.  The Lord and I encourage you to keep getting up and keep moving forward for you are about to receive your miracle in Jesus name Amen.
This Sunday I’ll be sharing on, ‘A little Can Be More Than Enough.’  We often act like we need to have more in order to do more but in the Kingdom of God He uses our faith to do more than what seems possible for us to do.  This word could change your life so invite a friend and come expecting the Lord to move in you and change your world.

Good morning believers, this is the day that the Lord has made and our will is to rejoice and be glad in it.  This evening @6 starts a 36 hour prayer event at Munro Academy.  You can drop in anytime between 6pm today and 6am Sunday morning to pray.
It’s strange how we commit to follow Jesus and afterwards our commitment to Him is tested from time to time.  I guess that could be said about but other things like your marriage or raising children.  We start following strong by putting Jesus first but it’s not always easy to stay strong.  “let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”  Galatians 6:9
You would think that you could not grow weary doing good things but only grow weary when things go wrong.  This verse is warning us against growing weary when things are going good.  How does that happen when we have been appointed unto good works?  We should be doing good, good works is our calling card and yet we can wear ourselves out by doing so much good according to what others want that we grow weak, weary, and frustrated in our own personal walk with Jesus.
The old song said, I have decided to follow Jesus needs to be sung again.  Though none go with me still I will follow, the cross before me the world behind me, no turning back, no turning back.  My confidence in you is high and the Lord would say, ‘lift up those hands that hang down for a great door has opened before you and the time is now for you to rise up and enter in.  Have a super day today as you serve the Lord Jesus.
This Sunday morning I will be sharing on, ‘Are New Friends Your Enemy?’  God often using new friends to bring you into higher places but it’s how you see new friends that will determine your progress.
Continue to pray for all those in need, looking forward to seeing you real soon, lots of love Pastor Kevin and Alice

Good Friday, the day of redemption, the special day we are to view the cross.  There was an action that was required, to pay for the wages of sin, to redeem the guilty and to give mankind the only way to be saved.  Sinless Jesus, the Holy Lamb of God who was slain paid the penalty and redeemed mankind back to God by dying on the cross and giving His blood as a sacrifice.  This blood paid our debt and Jesus stands today in the gap between sinful man and our loving God to offer whosoever will the opportunity to be born again.  Thank God this day happened.
Today Good Friday @ 10:30 there is a one hour service at My Father’s House (Bethel Pentecostal Church) in Glace Bay.  There will be a time of food and fellowship following the service.
Tomorrow morning at 8:30 is our annual men’s breakfast.  The men of our church under the leadership of Martin host this event and it brings men in from across the region to eat, rejoice, sing, and hear the word of the Lord.
Easter Sunday morning I will be sharing, ‘Easter Jesus.’  When Jesus rose from the grave He had completed His mission of redemption but it was a new day now for planet earth.  How does our living Jesus effect you?
Easter Sunday evening at 6 we gather at the Faith Baptist Church for food, fellowship, and a Water Baptism Service.  We have around a dozen people who have signed up to follow the Lord in obeying the scriptures in this area.  This service is so special, not only for those who are Baptized but for every believer in our church.
For the next couple of weeks at our mid-week Bible Study Rose Mary will be teaching us from the Word, ‘A Christian Woman’s Role In Life.’  Titus 2:3-5 Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good. These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God.”

The Big Wagon Ride is tomorrow, see you there.
Why a Wagon Ride as a ministry within the church?  Well, as a Church we don’t only call ourselves a Fellowship Church but we host events for the sole purpose of outreach into our community and fellowship within our congregation.  Psalm 133:1 “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”  According to the Bible our Jewish roots reveal that fellowship with God and others went hand in hand.  1 John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”  Fellowship at church is great but fellowship outside the four walls of the church is what helps us to grow together in unity.  Like when you invite someone for a meal its meant to build a greater relationship, our wagon ride is one way to live life closer together while building unity within the church family.  The early church in the New Testament seen great signs and wonders and they were very close in personal relationships which gave them a greater level of unity.  Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”  I know that some people can’t make the Wagon Ride for one reason or another and that’s OK.  We will miss you and hope that you can come to another event later on.  My confidence is high that God is building all of us to go forth into our world with power and might in Jesus name.
Tomorrow evening there is No Youth Service at the church.
This Sunday I’ll be sharing on, ‘Hidden In Plain Sight.’  Have you ever seen a picture within a picture?  It’s a hidden picture that you must search to find within the picture that you are looking at.  When you picture Jesus can you see all the hidden things that He placed within our salvation?
There is no Bible Study this week because of the busy schedule that we have on the go next weekend.  Good Friday we join with My Father’s House (Bethel Family Church) @10:30 in Glace Bay.  Saturday morning @ 8:30 is our Annual Men’s Breakfast at the Salvation Army Church in Sydney.  Sunday morning is Easter Sunday as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Sunday evening Faith Baptist has loaned us their building for a Water Baptism Service.  This service will start around 6pm with food and fellowship in the lower level followed by the service upstairs.
Continue to pray for all those in need, looking forward to seeing you real soon, lots of love Pastor Kevin and Alice

Our Youth Group is on its way to New Glasgow today to join in a Youth Retreat.  Pray for them to have a safe trip and to be blessed with a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit.
Sometimes we need to close our eyes if we want to see clearly what the Lord is doing in our life.  When we close our eyes in prayer the invisible becomes visible and the impossible becomes possible.  Habakkuk 2:1 “I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected.”  It read, “Watch to see what He will say to me.” Shouldn’t it read, ‘I will listen to hear what He will say to me?’  Don’t miss this, when we pray we should be both looking and listening.  Looking for vision, listening for direction.  Ephesians 1:17-18 “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.” I have great confidence in you to have wisdom from above to direct your feet here below.
This Sunday I will be sharing, ‘The Puzzle to Picture A Miracle.’  What are the pieces you need to join together to receive the answer to your prayers?
Next Saturday is our Fellowship Wagon Ride.  Check with Martin for details.
Continue to pray for all those in need, looking forward to seeing you soon, from your Pastor lots of love, Kevin and Alice

Long term success is not a place we find and then rest but long term success is a place for those who keep trying to be all that God called them to be.  Paul the Apostle did learn to become content but he never stopped moving forward.  Philippians 3:14 “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Coming into rest is when you have received inward confidence from the Lord.  Watch this; Confidence is not when you have studied hard and know all the answers but confidence is revealed when you are no longer worried about any of the questions.  It’s when you know who you are in Christ and you are no longer afraid of what others think about who you are.  I have confidence in you as I see the Lord releasing to you many areas of blessing.  Keep moving forward, it’s your season to shine in the name of the Lord Jesus.
When I first received Jesus I wasn’t married yet and I was very concerned about my family.  My mom and dad, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, cousins none were saved and they were all deeply on my mind.   How will I reach them?  Who will ever tell them?  As I was praying the voice of the Lord spoke to me and said if I focus on serving the Lord He will see to it that I get to bring the message of Christ to them.  That promise was over 40 years ago.
Over the past 15 years many of my family have passed away with the request that I come and do their funeral.  I never thought when God gave me the promise that this would be the way He would fulfill it.  Who would have thought that the day would come when I would be standing in the office of a minister, sharing my faith with my family, plus many more.
Once again this past week when my uncle died Bobby died the family called and asked if I would do the funeral service for them.  I’m reminded of the faithfulness of God for that which He has promised He is faithful to bring it to pass.
Saturday evening @ 7 is Youth at the church and they are gearing up for their Youth retreat in New Glasgow next weekend.
This Sunday I’ll be away conducting a family funeral for my uncle and Pastor Mark will be sharing the word of the Lord with you here.  Come to church expecting your needs to be met in Jesus name.
Our Fellowship Wagon Ride is coming up on Saturday March 24th.  There are about 180 people signed up and the cost is 20 per adult, 15 per child, 15 per student or 50 per family.  If you haven't paid yet please have your money in on Sunday.
We are going to have a busy Easter Weekend; on Good Friday we will join with My Father's House Church in Glace Bay.  This is the new name for the former Bethel Family Church.  On Easter Saturday it's our annual Men's Breakfast.  Check with Martin for more details.
On Easter Sunday evening its our Water Baptism service.  @6pm we start off with fellowship followed by the service.  Once again we want to thank the Faith Baptist Church for loaning us their church building.  We already have many people who want to be baptized so let us know if you want to follow the scriptures in this area of your life.
Continue to pray for all those in need, looking forward to seeing you soon, lots of love Pastor Kevin and Alice.

I believe that there’s great power in us seeking Divine Wisdom.  This wisdom usually comes to us in seed form and once we receive wisdom seeds we can plant them into the actions of our daily life and those seeds will guarantee us a future harvest.  The more and more wisdom we sow, the more and more blessings will flow into our future.  The story of the prodigal son is one where the son messed up because he did not recognize or appreciate his father’s blessing.  Luke 15:17-18 “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!  I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son.”  But when he came to himself he humbled himself and spoke wisdom over his life and those wisdom seeds took root and moved him towards a better future.  Today we will all reap from the wisdom seeds that we have planted in our past and that’s why we should plant wisely into today for it will ensure us many great blessings in our tomorrow.  With that thought in mind let’s go forth into today using the seed from the fruit of the Holy Spirit to be a blessing to everyone we meet.
Last week the Family Skate was a great success as several people who didn’t go to any church said that they would like to check out our church.  God uses our acts of love towards others and our lifting high our Lord Jesus to draw all manner of men and women to Himself.
Tomorrow at 7 is our Youth Ministry at the church and they are gearing up for their Youth retreat in New Glasgow.  Friday March 16th, 17th, and 18th.  The cost is $50.00 for each person.  Pastor Mark needs to know if you are going by this Sunday.
Get ready, get ready, get ready it’s Family Sunday.  We start at 10:15 with food and fellowship followed by the morning service.  I will be sharing, "Good Friendships."  We likely all have a friend of two but do we they true friends or are they just people we know?
Our Fellowship Wagon Ride is coming up on Saturday March 24th.  There are about 180 people signed up and the cost is 20 per adult, 15 per child, 15 per student or 50 per family.  If you haven't paid yet please have your money in by next Sunday.

James 1:27 "Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world."  When we use the word religion, the dictionary tells us that it's a set form of practices that people do to show their alliance to someone or something that they are following.  There are many religions in our world and many different ways that people practice their faith in their hope to reach and please their God.  To define the phrase 'the Christian Religion,' it's the things faithful Christians do or practice to communicate with our living Savior and Lord Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit.  When we practice our faith in praise and worship, reading the Bible, witnessing, prayers, and going to church we are faithfully following the Lord in such a way to stay unspotted from the world.  I remember years ago someone saying to me that I was very religious.  Their meaning was, I really practiced in my life what it said in the Bible.  At first I was kind of upset with them, I said, 'I'm not religious I'm in a relationship.'  I am sure they didn't mean to offend me but my misunderstanding of what they said is what caused the problem.  According to the dictionary they were complimenting me but my lack of understanding of what it meant, being religious, was my problem.  Now in saying that there are still many believers who don't like being called religious because of the false religious things that they came out of.  That's OK, just don't lose your present relationship trying to defend the fact that you are not religious.  Jesus said the world would know that we were believers, not by our religious practices or the differences of doctrine but by our love one for another.  So keep loving, caring, believing, praying, reading your Bible, and above all the next time someone thinks you're religious and you don't like it... keep sweet.
Last Sunday we began a 10 week New Life Class at the church.  I believe the class is full but you can check with Charlene Petrie for more details.
Tomorrow evening is our youth service 7 at the Church.
This Sunday I want to share with you, 'His Spirit Speaks.'  Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth.  You can't lead someone unless you can communicate with them where you are leading them.  The question is, how does the Holy Spirit communicate with us?
Next Saturday evening Feb. 24th @7 our Church is hosting a Christian Family Skate.  All churches and all ages are welcome to join with us as we enjoy an evening of fun, food, and fellowship.  It's at the Emera Center Rink North Sydney.
Youth retreat in New Glasgow Friday March 16th, 17th, and 18th.  The cost is $50.00 for each person.  Pastor Mark needs to know if you are going by Sunday March 4th to make the final arrangements.
Our Fellowship Wagon Ride is coming up on Saturday March 24th.  There are about 150 people signed up and it's still a month away.  Cost is 20 per adult, 15 per child, 15 per student or 50 per family.  If you haven't paid yet please have your money in by March 11th.
Easter Weekend; on Good Friday we will join with My Father's House Church in Glace Bay.  This is the new name for the former Bethel Family Church.  We have always enjoyed being together with this congregation over the years and are looking forward to this special Easter event.
Sign up now if you want to follow the scriptures in this area of your life.

In Philippians 3:14 Paul the Apostle said, "I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."  In times of personal trouble and inward weakness the only choice we can make if we are going to move forward is not to quit and give up.  When the exit door to my past is closer than the reward into my future I must press towards the goal, the prize of His upward call.  The devil can't steal our prize but he can delay us in our journey and make it longer to get there than we thought.  The Bible says, "we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."  Romans 8:28   I declare over your life that gates and doors of opportunity will open before you.  Not just at the Fellowship Church but in every church, over every believer that calls Jesus Savior and Lord.  Confidence in you is high so stir yourself by the power of His Holy Spirit unto good works and believe that we will see the reward of the righteous in the land of the living.
Last Sunday was a great service with several people accepting Jesus.  As my heart rejoices within me I want to thank you all for making Family Sunday such a great success.
This Sunday at 9:30am Charlene Petrie begins a 10 week New Life Class at the church.  The classes are 45 minutes long and will reveal to you the principles of what it means to be a believer.  At 10:30 our church service begins and I will be sharing with you, "Thinking And Feeling."  I believe the greatest battles that we will face in life will not be with the adverse circumstances that surround us but rather the inward wrong feelings that consume us.
Youth retreat in New Glasgow is March 16th, 17th, and 18th.  Our team of young people will be leaving here on Friday and return home Sunday afternoon.  It will be a great time over March break for our youth to renew their strength.
Don't forget to sign up for the Fellowship Wagon Ride coming up on Saturday March 24th.
We have set a date for our next Water Baptism.  Easter Sunday evening @7pm and again we want to thank the Faith Baptist Church for loaning their church.  Sign up now if you would want to follow the scriptures in this area of your life.
Continue to pray for all those in need, looking forward to seeing you real soon, lots of love Pastor Kevin and Alice.

How you start your day will have a lot to do with how good your day goes but how you end your day will have a lot to do with how tomorrow begins.  When God was building creation He would said, 'it is good' and then the next day it was good and then the next day and it was good.  God took the time to mention how He found good things in each day even though each day wasn't perfect or complete by itself.  It was good and God would be back tomorrow to do more things good.  I believe the good things that we thank God for today will set us up to have a good day tomorrow.
Psalm 118:24 "This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it."   Psalm 118:1 "Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever."  God expects us to live one day at a time but you can in today by seeing and declaring how good God is, have a better tomorrow.  My confidence in you is high as you take time today to express how good our Lord is, you'll end today saying, it is good.
An announcement from Aroma Worship.  Their worship music has been uploaded for you to download from the I-tunes store.  This makes the music the Lord Jesus has deposited in our Fellowship globally available to the world.  I want to thank you for your support and praise the Lord for the great things He has done and is doing among us.
This Sunday I will be sharing on, 'The Next Level.'  I have been hearing in my spirit from the Holy Spirit about this New Year being a year of open doors.  2018 will be a year of blessing and increase that will lift us all to a higher level.  The Lord would say to you, 'Many of your past prayers will become a present reality this year.'  Don't be discouraged over the past delay but be encouraged for this is your now season.  Get ready, hold on, we are going higher together
Continue to pray for all those in need, looking forward to seeing you soon, lots of love Pastor Kevin and Alice

I have discovered that there is far more to us than meets the eye.  In fact, we all may be something like an iceberg, nine tenth of who we are is under the surface.  The question is, how do we love others deeply when we have more about us hidden than there is exposed?  1 John 1:7 "But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin." By us accepting Jesus and agreeing to walk in the light, His light reveals the truth about us and it lights up those around us and exposes what they are really like also.  Daniel 2:22 "He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him."  In my calling to Pastor the Lord reveals things to me and I get to share them with you.  As we walk in the light together, deep hidden things will be exposed and deep hidden hurts will be healed.  My confidence in you is high as you continue to walk in His light today you will go to higher and higher levels of His Glory.
Saturday evening is Youth Group and there are plans being made for March Break.  All young people are welcome to attend, there are plenty of seats.
Get ready, get ready, get ready this Sunday I will be sharing on, 'Praising Or Complaining.'  Which one of the two do you naturally do?  When you are on the road of complaining there is no exit ramp to victory but when you praise God for where you're to, great things will God do for you.
Continue to pray for all those in need, looking forward to seeing you soon, lots and lots of love Pastor Kevin and Alice
