Winter is passing and spring is just around the corner.  Depending on what you like this truth is good news to some or not so good news for others.  If you like the winter then it's a sad time as winter leaves us but if you like spring then it's a happy time.  In life the Bible tells us to everything there is a season and seasons do come and seasons do go.  The good news is in every season there is a divine purpose and when we find God's purpose for the season we can rejoice.  I was talking with a Pastor who had been very sick and he said he used to have his favorite season but now that he's alive and well he enjoys them all.  Sometimes we need to go through some things to appreciate the things we have.  When rough times are over we can tend to like anytime that isn't rough.  We can't always avoid the test but we can walk with Him who holds the answers.  We can learn how to lean on Jesus.  Let's not wish a season away but let's discover it's divine purpose and be glad in it.
Tomorrow morning 8:30 is the Men's Breakfast at Sydney Pentecostal Church.  It's always a good time to invite a friend.
This is Family Sunday and that means we start at 10:15 with food and fellowship followed by the morning service.  This Sunday I'll be sharing on, 'Unusual Resources.'  God has many ways to do the things He does and often His ways surprise us.  When we come to the end of our road and face a brick wall, He makes a way where there seems to be no way.  He opens a door for us to do much more than we expected.  On Family Sunday we serve Communion and there is no evening service.  If you would like to go out somewhere Faith Baptist is having an evening fellowship as they celebrate 60 years.
This Wednesday at Bible Study we'll look at the Lord's prayer.  There is the prayer as Jesus told it and there is the prayer as we have heard it.  Sometimes what we have heard limits what He has said.
Next Saturday is our Fellowship Wagon Ride at Two Rivers Wildlife Park.  The Church Men's group have been working hard to help make this event a blessing for you and your family.   There are almost 200 people signed up so make sure that you are there at the time you signed up for.  That means if you are signed up for 1 pm you have a half hour car ride from Sydney to the Two Rivers parking lot then another 5 to 10 minutes from your car to the wagon area.  Then another 5 to 10 minutes getting into your group and prepared for the events that will follow.  May the Holy Spirit bless you with great success.
Continue to pray for all those in need.  Looking forward to seeing you, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice
