1 Thessalonians 2:19 "For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?"  One of the greatest thoughts that we can have is when we think about us all being together at the coming of the Lord.  It's our hope and hope is a wonderful emotion that we have to hold onto.  If we can have hope then we must also be able to walk around without hope.  What happens when something happens and all hope is gone?  We are, I hate to say it... hopeless.  Where was our hope that we were able to lose it?  Did something or someone steal our hope?  Having hope is important so it seems to be something that we need to protect and hold onto.  If we have lost it, how do we get it back?  Hope is found in our thinking so we need to remind ourselves about certain things.  When we hope in the right place and if it hasn't happened yet, it may be only delayed and not be denied.  Proverbs 13:12 "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life."  The New Year has an inward voice that reminds us to hope again.  Hope whispers that our God is going to do great things this year and you are going to be a part of it.  As you stir up your hope, joy returns to your soul.  My confidence in you is high, have a super blesses day.
Get ready, get ready, get ready... the Lord willing and it doesn't snow to much this is Family Sunday. We start @10:15 with food and fellowship followed by the morning service.  It's a great time to invite a friend.  We ask everyone to pick up a name tag so we can get to know you a little better.  I will be sharing, 'Knowing You.'  We need to know who we are or we could think that we are something that we are not.  You could spend all of your energy pretending to be somebody else and have no energy left to be you.
As the church has been growing I see us becoming a real mature family.  Two weeks ago a new lady was excited as she said to me, 'So many people have come up to me and made me feel so welcomed!'  Good job to all and glory be to God.
Continue to pray for all those in need, looking forward to seeing you soon, lots of love, Pastor Kevin and Alice
